Amy graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. She also achieved a variety of certificates and courses in the field of HR Management, Harassment Investigations, Diversity and Inclusion as well as Organizational Behaviour.
Amy’s strong work ethic and passion in collaborating with diverse teams has contributed to her success. She excels in promoting and fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion, working with the community as a volunteer and is a trusted and certified HR Professional. She has acquired the Registered Professional Recruiter designation at The Institute of Professional Management. She was also awarded an IPMA-Advanced Certified Professional HR designation and HR Leadership Certificate from International Personnel Management Association-Canada (IPMA).
Amy is an experienced HR Generalist and Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in HR leadership roles for the last 15 years within the telecommunications industry, public sector, non-profit and the marine logistics fields in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Amy is skilled with the confidence and hands-on experience in Consulting, Policy and Procedure Development, Auditing (ISO Practice), Report Writing, Recruitment, Organizational Review and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations within Union/Non-Union teams, and Occupational Health & Safety. Amy is currently an avid volunteer Board Director with IPMA-Canada, the local CNIB Foundation division and has also served as a Board Director with the United Way of NL.
