Regional Operations Manager - Labrador

Belinda has 32 years of experience with the Iron Ore Company of Canada in various leadership roles.

Belinda started her career as a unionized employee where she worked many areas of the IOC Mine Site. Through hard work and determination Belinda progressed her career in leadership roles within IOC. She held the positions of Operations Supervisor, Operations Planner, HSE Superintendent, Contractor Management Superintendent, and Superintendent of Pellet Plant Operations.

Belinda is a certified Health, Safety, and Environmental Professional, after she completed a two-year certificate in the Health, Safety and Environmental Processes (CHSEP) program at the University of New Brunswick.

Belinda is an experienced and confident leader that excels in managing people and processes. She can inspire action through proper guidance and mentorship and uses her knowledge to educate others along the way.

Belinda promotes inclusion and diversity in the workplace and prides herself in the respectful working relations that she fostered with union/non-union teams, as well as the many groups and clients she has worked with in previous roles.  

Belinda was recently elected to Municipal Council in Labrador City, a commitment she felt necessary to give back to her community.

Belinda enjoys a challenge and couldn’t be more excited for the next chapter in her career. She believes the best way to predict your future is to create it.
