HR Project Partners is currently accepting resumes for a Bilingual Contracts Administrator on behalf of one of our clients. The ideal candidate would have experience in contract administration on large-scale projects, preferably in the construction and mining industries. Fluency in French and English is required for this position.
This position is located in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, QC. The duration of this position is one year with the possibility of extension. A fly-in/fly-out rotation will be offered.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage the evaluation of all offers against predefined criteria.
- Ensure award recommendations are prepared and approved in accordance with internal requirements.
- Ensure that all contracts are awarded and managed effectively in accordance with company practices and the requirements of the project framework.
- Invoice Verification - Review, analyze invoices and ensure that figures submitted by contractors and suppliers are in accordance with the terms of the contract. Track all accounts payable invoices from start to payment.
- Market Analysis - Monitors market conditions for changes in economic and industrial conditions that may affect client's business.
- Change Order Management - Ensures each PO has sufficient funds to pay invoices.
- Tendering and market testing - supports PMs in setting up tenders for new projects.
- Supplier performance management - communicates with subcontractors and suppliers for the smooth running of contracts.
- Application of best practices and lessons learned.
- Ensure labor benefits are respected in all procurement activities and contract management after award.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience with continuing professional development.
- 5+ years of experience in a project environment as a contract administrator required.
- Experience in the mining industry considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to predict, analyze and work under pressure.
- Mastery of SAP.
Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes:
- Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little direction and/or within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to forecast, analyze and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities; and
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
