Job Description:

HR Project Partners is currently accepting resumes for an Expeditor on behalf of one of our clients. The ideal candidate would have experience working within a project team environment, and performing expediting activities to ensure the delivery of equipment, materials, services and related documentation. French and English Bilingualism is required.

 

The duration of this position is 9 months, with the possibility of extension. Remote work option available however occasional travel to site (Timmins, ON) is required.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Working within a project team environment, potentially on multiple projects.
  • Proactively performing expediting activities to ensure the delivery of equipment, materials, services and related documentation.
  • Developing and maintaining status reports.
  • Attending and potentially managing purchase order kick-off meetings.
  • Attending local shop expediting visits, as required.
  • Closing purchase orders.
  • Communicating with suppliers to resolve issues affecting a purchase order.
  • Attending status meetings with suppliers.
  • Reviewing material and service invoices for accuracy.
  • Coordinating transportation and logistics, as required.
  • Performing other duties as requested.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Post-secondary certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • 5+ years of expediting experience in engineering, procurement, construction, or construction environment.
  • French and English Bilingualism is required.
  • Ability to wear a full face / half mask respirator (if required).
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test (if necessary).

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
