Job Description:

HR Project Partners is currently accepting resumes for a Hydraulic Technician on behalf of one of our clients. The ideal candidate would have experience in electro-hydraulics and control systems.

This position is in Fredericton, NB. This is a permanent position. Relocation for non-locals is required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic checks on Hydraulic components and systems.
  • Complete repairs to hydraulic and control systems.
  • Install and commission new systems and packages.
  • Complete ISO documentation as required.
  • Travel throughout Atlantic Canada may be required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will have the following qualifications.
    • Hydraulic Mechanic/Technician;
    • Electronics Technician/Technologist;
    • Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic/Technician; or
    • An acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in independent diagnostics on mobile & heavy equipment including hydrostatic, load sense, pressure compensated and fixed displacement systems.
  • Experience in independent diagnostics on marine vessel systems including winch drives and cranes.
  • Experience in overhaul and repair of various hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Experience in start-up/commissioning of new systems.

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction and/or within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to forecast, analyze and work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
