JACQUI WINTER

Jacqui currently holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Psychology from Memorial University, as well as a master’s Certificate in Project Management. Jacqui was the recipient of the “2019 Entrepreneur of the Year Award – Momentum” through NLOWE, and “Top 50 CEO” in 2020 from the Atlantic Business Magazine. She is also a member of the Newfound and Labrador Association of Social Workers.

Jacqui represents her business with a high standard of ethics and professionalism. As President with HRPP, Jacqui is a dedicated senior professional with over 25 years’ experience in various fields, including: Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Industrial/Provincial Benefits Agreements, Project Coordination, Communications, Public Relations, Training, Employee Assistance Programs, Community Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Non-Profit Organizations and Socio-Economic impacts. Jacqui’s experience includes working within heavy industrial environments, construction, oil and gas, mining, and non-profit organizations along with involvement in EPCM projects and within corporate environments.

Janessa

JANESSA COLE

RECRUITMENT AND OPERATIONS MANAGER

Janessa graduated with a Degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Co-Op) and focused her studies on Human Resources and Labour Relations. She is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and currently a member with Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Newfoundland and Labrador.

Janessa has more than 6 years’ experience in a Human Resources capacity. She has been involved in both large scale and small-scale recruitment from a project environment, to government, and to consulting. She has worked on a large-scale oil and gas project in Newfoundland and was successful in the process of recruiting and on-boarding hundreds of craft and staff personnel and meeting the requirements of the Provincial Industrial Benefits Agreements and Collective Agreement. Her involvement and work experience with the government has allowed her to become well-versed in the recruitment of unionized personnel and abiding by any Collective Agreements as it relates to recruitment. She has worked with two consulting companies as a Coordinator delivering various Human Resources functions such as recruitment, policy, and procedure development, on-boarding new staff, development of employment contracts and offer letters, and ensuring compliance with Labour Standards regulations.

Recruitment is one of the areas of Human Resources Janessa is most passionate about. She enjoys working with, and helping others, whether it be colleagues, clients, or candidates. Janessa has volunteered most of her life and plans to continue doing so. She also feels that giving back to her community is very rewarding and enjoys working in Human Resources.

RECRUITMENT LEAD

Dylan graduated from College of the North Atlantic’s Business Management – Human Resources program and is currently completing a Bachelor’s of Business Administration through Memorial University.

Dylan’s experience includes full-cycle recruitment, working within various industries such as Mining, Oil and Gas, Marine, Heavy/Light Industrial, and Office Clerical. As an experienced Human Resources Professional, Dylan excels in Recruitment, Account Management, Sales, On-Boarding, Training and Development, Compliance Auditing, and Personnel Management. He is also a Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) with the IPM Management Training and Development Corporation.

Dylan’s focus is on building loyal, respectful, and collaborative relationships with his candidates and clients through consistent, and positive service. This has been key to his professional accomplishments. He takes pride in his work and in assisting Clients with finding the right fit for their needs and matching Candidates to roles that will help them succeed and further their careers.

AMY McCARTHY

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTANT

Amy graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. She also achieved a variety of certificates and courses in the field of HR Management, Harassment Investigations, Diversity and Inclusion as well as Organizational Behaviour.

Amy’s strong work ethic and passion in collaborating with diverse teams has contributed to her success. She excels in promoting and fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion, working with the community as a volunteer and is a trusted and certified HR Professional. She has acquired the Registered Professional Recruiter designation at The Institute of Professional Management. She was also awarded an IPMA-Advanced Certified Professional HR designation and HR Leadership Certificate from International Personnel Management Association-Canada (IPMA).

Amy is an experienced HR Generalist and Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in HR leadership roles for the last 15 years within the telecommunications industry, public sector, non-profit and the marine logistics fields in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.  

Amy is skilled with the confidence and hands-on experience in Consulting, Policy and Procedure Development, Auditing (ISO Practice), Report Writing, Recruitment, Organizational Review and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations within Union/Non-Union teams, and Occupational Health & Safety. Amy is currently an avid volunteer Board Director with IPMA-Canada, the local CNIB Foundation division and has also served as a Board Director with the United Way of NL.

BILINGUAL RECRUITER

Denise studied Psychology at John Abbott College. In 2005, she started her career in recruitment in a small placement agency which consisted of herself and the owner. In the 4 years that she spent there, Denise wore many hats and acquired experience and knowledge which lead to the growth of the business and office staff. She then moved on to other opportunities and spent the next few years working in many different locations. In 2014, Denise returned to her first love and is now recruiting more technical roles such as Engineering and IT in several different industries across Canada and the U.S.

Denise now has 10 years of experience in executing recruiting plans. She has managed all phases of full cycle recruiting, from initial sourcing and interviewing through offer negotiations, placement, and onboarding. She is a recruiting professional with the ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates in every field. Denise sees herself as a people person and a team player.

On a personal note, Denise has been volunteering since 2005 in a yearly charity event hosted by 94.7 Hits FM to raise funds for the Otis Grant foundation, which is a foundation aiming to help families in need.

Tracy

TRACY RUSSELL

COST AND ACCOUNTING LEAD

Tracy graduated from Algonquin College with a diploma in Office Administration – Executive. She is a member of the Canadian Payroll Association and is certified as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner. Since completing the Office Administration – Executive Program Tracy has expanded her experience and knowledge in the accounting field with a strong focus in Payroll and Cost Control. She has completed multiple courses and programs including those in Advanced Excel and Supervisory Training.

Tracy has over 9 years’ experience in Accounting and Payroll with experience in various accounting programs such as QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, Avionte, and DRMIS. Her working experience includes working for the Department of National Defence and various small businesses in Ontario, where she provided Administration and Accounting support. 

Tracy started at HRPP in January 2019 as an Accounting Administrator, where she provided all functions of Accounting, Payroll, Cost Control, and other administrative supports to the team. Since early 2020, Tracy has been promoted to a Cost and Accounting Lead position. Her dedication and passion for accounting and helping others shines through in her ability to effectively communicate and assist both employees and clients.

Belinda Adams

Regional Operations Manager - Labrador

Belinda has 32 years of experience with the Iron Ore Company of Canada in various leadership roles.

Belinda started her career as a unionized employee where she worked many areas of the IOC Mine Site. Through hard work and determination Belinda progressed her career in leadership roles within IOC. She held the positions of Operations Supervisor, Operations Planner, HSE Superintendent, Contractor Management Superintendent, and Superintendent of Pellet Plant Operations.

Belinda is a certified Health, Safety, and Environmental Professional, after she completed a two-year certificate in the Health, Safety and Environmental Processes (CHSEP) program at the University of New Brunswick.

Belinda is an experienced and confident leader that excels in managing people and processes. She can inspire action through proper guidance and mentorship and uses her knowledge to educate others along the way.

Belinda promotes inclusion and diversity in the workplace and prides herself in the respectful working relations that she fostered with union/non-union teams, as well as the many groups and clients she has worked with in previous roles.  

Belinda was recently elected to Municipal Council in Labrador City, a commitment she felt necessary to give back to her community.

Belinda enjoys a challenge and couldn’t be more excited for the next chapter in her career. She believes the best way to predict your future is to create it.

Julie Bourne

Travel and Fleet Coordinator - Labrador

Julie graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland (Grenfell Campus) in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Originally from Corner Brook, NL, she relocated to Labrador West in 2020.

Julie recently began working at HRPP and coordinates travel for employees to and from the Labrador City area, as well as manages the coordination of fleet required for transportation. She enjoys helping other team members where needed and collaborating with others to come up with new processes and ideas.

As a developing professional, Julie looks forward to applying her existing knowledge and skills to her position and collaborating with her co-workers to consistently grow and provide exceptional support to the organization.

Allan recently graduated from the College of the North Atlantic’s (CNA) Business Management (Marketing) program in 2020 and is currently continuing his education in The Memorial University of Newfoundland’s (MUN) Bachelor of Business Administration program.

Allan first started working with HRPP through a six-week work placement program. He continued to work with HRPP through the Summer and is currently providing support as a part-time employee while he works on his degree. Allan mainly focuses on supporting the team in a marketing role by preparing HRPP’s digital content, registering for networking events, and helping the team prepare for charitable fundraisers. He also occasionally supports the recruitment team.

As a developing marketing professional, Allan enjoys collaborating with his coworkers on various marketing ideas and possibilities and finds it very rewarding when he sees the teams vision come to life. He is a creative person who values effective teamwork and communication, all of which are important traits for a successful Marketing professional.

Rebecca graduated from Eastern College with a diploma in Payroll and Accounting Administration. She is a member of the Canadian Payroll Association and holds a Payroll and Compliance Practitioner Certification and is currently working her way towards the Certified Payroll Manager Certification.

Rebecca has over 6 years of Payroll and Accounting experience. Working in numerous of fields from Public Service, Film Industry and Food Industry where she provided Payroll and Accounting Support.

Rebecca thrives in a fast-paced environment and is always aiming to give clients and employees top notch payroll services. She looks forward to bringing her payroll knowledge and skill to her position and working with the team to provide continued exceptional service to all our clients.
